Overlooking Olympic Stadium at the AOG

Here you have Jeremiah Jay, flying low over Olympic Stadium, checking out the action. The jays decided not to compete today because the blizzard wreaked total havoc with Jezebel's hair do and she retreated in tears. (Don't tell her I published this picture, okay?) Team Blue Jay, however, turned lemons into lemonade by using to day to practice some of their more complicated routines, in the hopes of medaling later in these historic games.

Taking advantage of the 10 inches of fresh "powder" Team Titmouse sent their star skier down the Giant Slalom. It was amazing! Meanwhile, Team House Finch got a little confused (nothing new there) and started doing their victory dance before they'd even started their performance. Oopsie.

The Grackles weren't the least bit put off by the blizzard-like conditions at AOG Stadium today and they were into everything! First up was the Synchronized Eating competition which they aced, showing excellent form and precision. Then came the Air Sprints which again was in their wheelhouse. However, all did not end well for Team Grackle. Once again they've crossed a line and found themselves the focus of the Disciplinary Commission. It all started innocently enough when Gideon Grackle approached Hermione while she was in the practice arena, asking her to go out with him. She politely refused and he left. But moments later, he was back and bolder than ever! By this time, Hermione's concentration was completely wrecked (not hard to do, she's a mourning dove, remember) and she told him to bugger off. He left in a huff but returned again seconds later and struck an extremely offensive pose while taunting Hermione. She fled in tears and the Team isn't saying whether she'll be recovered to compete tomorrow.

Honestly, people, this reporter can barely stand the ups, the downs, the excitement, the drama of these Games! And add a blizzard to the mix ... well, I'm demanding hazard pay! ... From myself.

The Search function is now working perfectly (thank you BlipCentral) so you can search "tagged AOG" to catch up on the reports from around the globe. I was very excited to see our correspondent from Indonesia (our very own Vockaman) filing a report yesterday from Olympic Stadium, where the excitement and drama was at epic highs. Keep those reports coming in, folks - these games are FAR from over!

In more mundane news - we got nearly a foot of snow today and more on its way tonight. It's rather daunting to look out and see a big while hill where our patio table used to be. Really hard to imagine that spring will ever come... More snow predicted for the upcoming weekend too...
