Capel Manor

Rain again this morning, but this afternoon was wonderfully sunny (even if the sky was threatening at times) so we decided to take a walk around Capel Manor gardens in Enfield.

These gardens (and the manor house there) are now home to a college of "land-based" studies - ie Horticulture, Arboriculture (Tree Surgery), Garden Design, Floristry, Animal Care, Saddlery and Environmental Conservation. My wife is currently doing an advanced floristry course there.

There are several different garden designs in the grounds; they are not at their best at this time of year, but still very interesting - and crocuses and snowdrops are now appearing all over the place. Even some of the daffodils are in bloom.

Today's blip is of part of the remains of one of the earlier manor houses built within the grounds. The ruins have been turned into a feature garden of their own, but I liked the greenery growing up and over the windows.
