A bit 'tongue in cheek' this picture; not literally of course.

Rubbish nights sleep last night. Was awake at 4, fitful sleep till 5 and then gave up and watched 2 episodes of 'Orange is the New Black' on Netflix. Not a bad series actually. But this little experience got me to wondering, 'what did our parents do when they were in this position and the only thing to watch was the test card'?

Matthew goes to France on Monday. He put his car in for a service and MOT last Saturday. It failed the mot and couldn't be retested for a few days as they needed to order in a part. fair enough, but when he drove it home, it was totally lacking in performance and it is now Friday and they still haven't sorted it out. To be honest, they don't really want to know as fixing his car, an issue they have somehow introduced, doesn't bring any money in, whereas dealing with new customers does. Customer service is an unknown topic to many service organisations in this country, including Halfords, the culprits in this particular story. I hope they pull their finger out and get this sorted - he has a ferry booked for Monday and starts work on Wednesday!
