Crimea

An amazing day but no time to blip! After a bit of a murky start the sun shone all day. F and R came to play and we headed off to the northside to do the Crimea Walk - many suggestions as to how this little settlment got its name and none of them plausible! We walked along the edge of the cliffs, passed the cluster of old and ruinous houses - this one still with its wooden window frame - and onwards, passed the remains of an old copper mine with its incongruous ruined terrace, deep shafts and tiny walkway across the sea; passed the blowhole rumbling impressively and back via the Cove, a wild and stormy stetch of sea. We felt quite sunburnt on our return and had to eat large quantities of apple pie.
Fish and chips followed by a truly terrible Romanian film at Arthouse - F sums it up - It's about how the corrupt nanny-state emasculates its citizens. Yawn. That makes it sound quite interesting. It wasn't. Endless, hand held camera, unpleasant characters. Oof.
Himself has done his eye view as you enter one of these little cabins.
