First ever Blackpool Sands Dog Show

This afternoon saw the first dog show at our local beach, Blackpool Sands. My sis'n'bro-in-law brought their dogs down for a bit of fun. Labradoodle, Ollie, won a rosette, while little Poppy looked cute/ridiculous - depending on your point of view - for the fancy dress!

Glorious sunshine, clear blue sky and shirt-sleeve warmth. Made the most of it, as the rain's set to return in a couple of days. Hope this composite picture gives a flavour of the day.

(This is also the last day dogs are allowed on this private beach until next winter. During the tourist season it's a dog-free zone.)
