Polesden Lacey

A wonderful day out with the Hampshire Photography meetup group at Polesden Lacey. I've often walked around the grounds but it was the first time I'd been into the house itself. If gold leaf is your thing, there sure is plenty of it! A lot of care has been taken to present the house as it was and is fascinating.

There is a travelling trunk full of period clothes for visiting children to dress in. I couldn't resist asking if I could photograph this little girl who was enjoying the game together with her sister.

It was a little early for the grounds as it is very much a rose garden but the daffs were out in force and the sun shone for us.

So busy this weekend that I'm back blipping, bit by bit!
