Tentaciones

It was the final day for our Washington friends, reason to splurge on a nice farewell dinner. Tentaciones was the choice, a restaurant that is indescribably amazing. Stunning architecture, fabulous setting high on a hill overlooking the bay (the blue glow dead center midway up the hill in yesterday's photo was where we were tonight), impeccable service, and a five course meal that is to die for. We have been fortunate to dine there in the past, but tonight's meal was the best yet.

Everyone was duly impressed as we sipped tamarind margaritas while watching the sun set over the bay. Our eight-person table was at the apex of the reflecting pools, right on the edge of the world We dined on scrumptious:
Thai Shrimp Ceviche
Mixed Greens with Candied Goat Cheese
Lentil Soup with Plantian Foam
Broiled Mahi Filet with Risotto & Passion Fruit Sauce,
and finally White Chocolate & Mango Tart with Rum Vanilla Foam.
We drank a couple of bottles of excellent wine. We relived the past week's activities with our soon to be U.S.-bound guests. We took lots of photos (though I choose to show the architecture of the building rather than one of those people shots). And it turned out our friends had planned all along to treat us to this wonderful evening and wouldn't let us pay a peso (more than likely many thousands of pesos). What a spectacular way to end a fantastic week!
