Sancerre to Ebreuil...

Well we were much slicker today. We got up and out early, the boys were off at 7.30am and we went to the supermarket, filled a trolley with enough food to feed them 5000 calories each and chased them on to Bourbon for lunch. We caught up with them between Beffes and Marseilles-les-Aubigny and threw some pan au chocolat at them before heading on to Bourbon to find a spot for lunch. There was a little spot with loos although they still insist on pissing into the windand a picnic table so we made them lunch and the rain came on! Typical!

Our school French is coming back and we're trying. We've found people are far more helpful if you at least attempt to speak their language so we are. We stole nice car boss's phrase book and we're winging it. It's made me think about actually learning properly when we get home although funnily enough I spent time memorising the swear words. Child!

We made it to Ebreuil and were met by Jerome and his son. He looked a bit like Brad Pitt and could not have been more hospitable if he tried. He let us me use the washing machine and for that I shall be eternally grateful. We parked the car and trailer in his garden, rigged up a washing line and sorted the boys recovery drinks and their bags out. I'm beginning to feel a bit like a cart horse, lugging all their stuff up the stairs. This is way harder work than I'd imagined!

We had dinner in the hotel and they all laughed at me when I ordered from the simple menu, coq au vin with tagliatelle and then had food envy when mine came and looked, smelt and tasted amazing! Ha! The hotel was basic but it had everything we needed. Except a duvet. What is with hotels and blankets? I miss my own bed!

This little pansy was by the war memorial that Ary couldn't resist stopping at in Deux Chaises... war porn! (And I'm a bit bored of blipping cyclists so you can have a lively shit (TM FT) of a flower!)

I still haven't a clue what day it is... I think I'm posting this on Friday.
