Fun on the Farm

We had a lovely day today with Mrs S and Mr M in St Albans.
I was shocked to discover it's almost a year since Miss E has seen her lovely Godmother. We often get together in the week during school time which means Miss E misses out.
So it was fab to all meet up today.
After some tea and chat we headed off to Willows Farm - after about half an hour of faffing with shoes by my children!
We had a fabulous day petting guinea pigs, trying to feed very ungrateful goats, sheep and cows, riding on toy tractors, digging on the sandpit, climbing on climbing frames, shooting water cannons, bouncing on bouncy castles and down bouncy slides, swinging on swingboats, getting slobbered on by shire horses, picnicking and ice cream eating, kicking footballs and queuing for the toilet. It was brilliant!
And we didn't do a fraction of what there is to do!
Miss L and Mr M were really sweet all day. They walked - and ran - everywhere hand in hand and made each other laugh. So cute!!
It was lovely to see Mrs S, the children had a fab time together and I have a new recipe to try: Jamie's fennel and salami spaghetti.
What a great day!
