Hubby Birthday

{backblip}

Popped along to the Stirling Cycle Hub this afternoon, to celebrate their first year of activity in the city, and to support our students who had been involved in a joint project with them. Thanks to the efforts of lecturer and blipper HK they produced a range of promotional items to help raise awareness of cycling in the area, with the three posters pictured here being placed in prominent locations around the local train stations (big versions, not these nicely framed up versions that were awarded to the students whose posters were selected).

Keith Brown, the Scottish Minister for Transport, also came along to help cut the cake, and to drop off a nice fat cheque that'll see a cycle sharing scheme being introduced in the City soon as well as keep the Hub funded for the next year.

Great work by our lot, students and staff, it's always excellent to see hard work paying off like this, and great work too by the Cycle Hub in building up a fantastic little enterprise in their first year. More power to their pedals!
