Tadpoles

An update picture of the tadpoles. They have grown a lot since the last one I posted - but there are a lot less of them. There is definitely something eating them in the pond. The last shot I took of them showed one with a big chunk taken out of its tail. It was still swimming round quite happily and didn't seem to be affected by it.

Big though they are getting, they are still not showing any sign of growing back legs. We're probably looking to the middle of July before they begin to appear. While there aren't as many as there were, there are still enough that we should get a good crop of little frogs during August.
