Western Tiger Swallowtail

This one is for our friend Ian. The whole time he was here visiting us he was on the hunt for a photo of one of these beauties. They continued to allude him. He saw some, but every time he crept up on one, off it went. Today I happened to have my long telephoto lens on my camera when this beauty flew by and landed on the blackberry bush flowers. Gotcha! So this (large version) one is for you, Ian.
