Marjorie's ramblings

Another local face

Here is Lucy who has taught generations of local children to play the piano. She is always full of enthusiasm and was perfectly happy to be photographed for the exhibition. (I need to fill in a few gaps on the wall.)

Today started with a morning filled with the Walking Festival committee. We worked hard on the autumn programme.

I took Mum to Newcastle for her ENT appointment which was at 6.20pm. Before she was even seated, the consultant had the tiny fibre optic scope ready to pop down her nose and into her throat. He saw both vocal cords working and no sign of cancer or nodules. More tests are required to determine the cause of her loss of voice and he was repeatedly vague about the possibilities.

We celebrated the good news with a meal at Battlesteads in Wark. The food was superb so it was a good night out.
