Marjorie's ramblings

Don't jump!

Today was our Photographic Society assignment in Tynemouth. The day started grey, cool and mizzly but the weather did improve later. The light was pretty good and I was glad to be free of bright sunshine.

There was plenty to interest us photographers including the sailing boats, the harbour and the little boats going in and out. On the beach, two lifeguards went out in an inflatable and showed off the twists and turns they can do in this craft. They loved doing it and we enjoyed watching and snapping.

There were children on school trips, eating sandy sandwiches on the beach. The waves were not good enough for surfing.

In the afternoon some of us went into Tynemouth Priory and found an ITV film crew filming an episode of Vera. Here is Brenda Blethyn as Vera doing her best to prevent a suicide. When you see this on TV it will look as though the man is on the edge of a high cliff. Wait and see!
