The Car-Parking Building

Car-parking buildings can look very boring. However the first ever to be built multistory car-park building in Blenheim is, in my view, an exception. It was built about three years ago. A lot of locals, particularly, sad to say, the elderly, were vociferously against the project. They argued that it would be a white elephant as we have lots of on ground car-parks. I am delighted that they were wrong…. The building is now being well-used.
The northern face of the building is very attractive with its vertical metal panels providing shade to vehicles in the building. The colour scheme mimics the earthy tones of the Wither Hills and other areas of Marlborough in high summer. It is well worth blipping!
