Marjorie's ramblings

Rainbow people

Penelope started her long journey south to Corfe Castle this morning. I loved having her here.

Today our Photo Club had an assignment at Northern Pride in Exhibition Park, Newcastle. We anticipated heavy rain and were glad that it held off until we had our photos in the bag!

Thousands of people congregated in the park, following a noisy, exhuberant parade from the City Hall. There were all shapes and sizes of folk, many wearing rainbows on their clothes, in body painting and in dyed hair. I loved the way these two women had used ribbons.

Great to see so many people feeling free to express themselves without risk of persecution.

Then to Roy and Pat's barbeque at Roy's house. Well done those men. The rain poured down/food was excellent/company even better.

Home to sleep!
