Fharaid Head

We had a well deserved long lie today then a leisurely breakfast and wandered into Durness to get some fresh bread for lunch. It’s only about a mile and was a fairly pleasant walk. We stopped at Cocoa Mountain on the way back to say hello.

After lunch we walked down to Fhariaid Head on a mission to find the secret lagoon. We did but sadly it appears to be tidal so there was no water. Still, we spent a while there then wandered over to the beach on the Balnakiel Bay side for a while where we had a paddle as the water was really warm.

Overall we’ve walked about six miles today and we’ll do a couple more to the pub and back this evening. Where we’re staying is in pretty much an ideal location between the village and the beach.

Oh, and I've back-blipped for yesterday too now if you're interested.
