Day two of Hawaii Clive-O

Waking up to the sound of rain is never nice especially when you're in a tent, but there were no wet patches inside so all was good. We got up quite early considering the night before. I put the gas stove on, brewed up and got the fire pit lit and all was good, tea and a bacon sandwich did the trick.

We watched the rain fall all morning and looked on at the people trying to exit the field of mud, I counted about 6-7 cars attempting to get up the muddy track and seeing them all fail, 3 were pulled out by the tractor but the rest decided to just stay put. As soon as the rain stopped, all attitudes for wanting to leave early disappeared, we even saw people re-pitching their tents.

The day just got better and better, the field filled with people wearing Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts and some going a whole lot further like todays blipfoto. These pair definitely won the award for best effort.

We mixed the day up with chilling out, Barbequing and most importantly getting our dancing shoes on for the entertainment.

There were many highlights of the day but one of the nicest bits was when we were all chilled out on the blankets next to the fire looking at the amazing sky. As we were in the middle of nowhere there was very little light pollution so the universe was on full display and looked rather beautiful.

The moment went from a philosophical discussion to a comedy moment when our friend Jodie came out with a comedy line when we spotted a shooting star (which was actually a plane). Her quote was "Do you know what would be much more amazing than seeing a shooting star? Seeing Buzz Lightyear up there".

We stayed at the stage area until the live music finished at about 1:30am and listened to the DJ music until well after  2:30am.

It was a great day :)
