Morning Pelican

Wednesday mornings are an early day at Playa La Ropa as I walk the beach to my weekly Spanish class. Not early enough for cool sunrise photos, but early enough to avoid the inevitable crowds. That means I often get to see wildlife that is not normally visible, like this pelican which was skimming the waves looking for breakfast. Managed to capture a nicely forming wave in the same frame, timing is everything.
