Weather Closing In, Summit Road

On way way home tonight, I decided to turn up Gebbies Pass and head up to the Summit Rd ahead of the Southerly. By the time I got up there, the wind was bitterly cold, but the last flickers of the sunset were creeping their way over the western side of the crater rim.

I had a nice surprise this evening as the images I took down in Tekapo a couple of weeks ago were finally published online on Stuff.co.nz and the New Zealand Herald. Check out the rocket launch, shot at 1/6400 second! It's a bit of a shame neither of them gave me a photo credit though...
