A Day Worth Recording

Vestige

Look carefully and you'll see vestigial evidence that there used to be a path here previously.

This was something that E and S had discovered when cutting back the brambles in the lower part of the garden. Absolutely no indication that there was anything in here. It's not going to be easy to restore are there are now some quite substantial shrubs - mostly self-seeded laurels, growing there and, apart from the work, this is a conservation area.

Went to the local Meeting this morning - the first time as local residents. I can't see us getting there much on Sundays when the B&B is up and running though.

Walked round to the local fete (which proved less local than anticipated) which was nice. Met several people we knew and made some new contacts.

Then we climbed the hills and went home along the ridge.

Rearranged some boxes / furniture / boardgames. Again.
