Sunset Over Greenpark Flats, Lake Ellesmere

The weekend has rolled around once more, and it looks like it could be a good one if all goes according to plan...

First up, photography-wise, there's a high chance of getting some auroras to photograph, with significant flare and CME (coronal mass ejection) activity emanating from the sun a couple of days ago. This could be a big event too, so here's hoping the cloud stays away.

Second, I've got a bit planned at home as we try to finish off jobs before we put the house on to the market. I've got some some alarms to install and some sanding and finishing to get on with.

Could be a busy one, but when you have an end result to look at, it makes it worthwhile.

Talking of waiting, whilst tonight's tea was getting prepared by Glen at the Blue Duck Cafe, I swung by the flats by Greenpark Huts to grab this shot of the sunset. It's a magical place in the right conditions, and whilst the birdlife was a bit absent tonight, there was still views for miles in all directions. Love it.
