Mufti Mishaps
I've had no luck with my clothing today. First of all I went to collect Mckenzie and as I arrived he vomited all over me and my clean clothes. I changed him and we made a dash into the rain, to the car. To avoid getting soaked to the skin, I got into the back of the car and fastened him into the carseat. I'd pulled the door behind me, so that the upholstery didn't get soaked but then I realised that the child lock was on. I was now stuck in the back of the car and unable to open either door.
Now, there's a very tiny gap between the front seats and I'm no longer the seven and a half stone waif that I used to be in my twenties. I had no choice but to squeeze my big backside through that tiny gap, whilst splitting my sides at the ludicrous situation I'd got myself into. Out of breath, I finally made it to the driver's seat and wondered what people must have been thinking if they'd been looking out from behind their net curtains!!
The sun then came out and so I changed into a new skirt (very rare to see me in skirt!) and as I photographed this 'Peace' rose, a thorn tore a huge hole in it. I can assure you, the air wouldn't have been very 'peaceful' if a two year old hadn't been listening!!
The Peace rose was my Grandfather's favourite. I think that he had good taste. I've just noticed that the legs of a large spider are curled around the petal of the rose on the left hand side.
