Last day of summer?

We have had an extended summer but as this is the last day of September and we are being warned of,changes to come in the weather it could be that this is the last day of 'summer'.

This Rowan is already looking pretty done. The berries are long gone and many of the leaves are shrivelled and brown. I liked the way the sun was catching this single branch this morning.

I decided to do a bit of gardening after lunch just in case it is the last of the warm sun.
