A Day Worth Recording

Nuts

Chestnuts nestling in the central reservation of the dual carriageway in Cambourne (don't panic, the central reservation is about 60 yards across at this point).

The trees here are just so dinky. :)

Saw plenty of dual carriageway tonight on the drive home. Pleasingly my 'advanced' training means I check motorways well before committing to the slip road. The M11 was stationary, as it was the next junction up having picked our way through Grantchester.

Nothing for it then other than the point the car west and see what happens; even if that did mean having Cupcake navigate.

We chose a sawtooth of a route, 'tacking' our way across the country. Only cost us 10% in mileage but nothing in time; indeed I'm sure we saved an hour or more of going nowhere. Quite possible we'll use this one again.

The contrast between the chocker M1 and the empty M45 could not have been starker.

Cupcake's friend, Phil, is with us for a few days for a bit of garden hackery. Strangely the Xbox seems to have been reconnected all of a sudden.
