Red Bull City Trials

It was two wheeled, high excitement in Manchester today as the Red Bull team took over Deansgate. I met up with Chrissie and Jess and we took hundreds of pics between us of the stunt riders flying over Manchester themed obstacles.

The forecast was for rain, but we were lucky as it stayed mainly dry and as the sun blazed down we were struggling in the glare...at least our lenses stayed droplet free. I love events like this where roads are closed and you are up close to the action. There were four rounds where riders sped off in pairs over ramps, water and other challenging obstacles.

After the first round we nipped into the cafe in Waterstones for a bit of fortification, this is an essential part of blipping, as we were going to be on our feet all afternoon. Then it was back out to squash our way through the crowds to find a good spot. It was great fun, although I am disappointed with some of my shots.

After dropping Jess off I raced round to Ellen's. The coven haven't met for a couple of months and so it was great to all get together again....especially as Ellen had made scones!
