A Monday, and my first day back in Scotland after a week away. That’s not an ideal combination, but thankfully it turned out well.

The sun appeared mid morning, and was a catalyst for me deciding lunch at the harbour would be a smart move. I need all the daylight I can get at this time of year, plus a week hundreds of miles away from the sea still feels weird.

When my thoughts turned to Blipping, the Palembang was an obvious choice. A very strange looking vessel. The “thing” in her middle looks like a crane of some kind, and as Rosyth was listed as her destination, her voyage may be connected with the construction of either the new Forth bridge or the new aircraft carrier.
