Utu

Horomaka goes noir.

Utu is a Māori concept of reciprocation, or balance.

To retain mana, both friendly and unfriendly actions require an appropriate response - hence utu covers both the reciprocation of kind deeds, and the seeking of revenge.

If you know how devastating mustelids have been to Aotearoa's native fauna, you'll know that the only good stoat is a dead stoat. New Zealand is ravaged by pests daily, putting the life of our unique wildlife at risk.

Sorry if I've disturbed anyone with this picture. I mean no offence.
