Mountain View

Dear Diary,

Lovely visit with P. at her new house on the lake in New Hampshire. I am so lucky to live on the western edge of Maine so I can get to the big lakes of NH very easily. These are the Ossipee Mountains which are part of an ancient volcano. It was so good to see a bit of sun!

M. returns to Massachusetts later today and Emerson and I will settle in to our quiet life again. I love these brief interludes of community and fellowship but by nature I am a solitary creature. I will return to my solitude refreshed.
