Cup Day in Christchurch

This is a collage of my day at the New Zealand Cup at Addington. We started the day with Breakfast at the George Hotel then we made our way to the races. It started of a really beautiful day but by late morning the wind come up. One good thing it didn't rain.

The Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup is a Group One harness race held annually by the NZ Metropolitan Trotting Club at Addington Raceway in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is considered Australasia’s most prestigious harness racing event.

It is held during Canterbury’s Show Week on the second Tuesday in November, three days before the Show Day public holiday. The Woodlands New Zealand Free For All for pacers and the Hellers Dominion for trotters is held on Show Day at Addington.

John wasn't so lucky as he never had a winner all day which is very unusual for him. Me... I was lucky for a change... I only put $1 to $2 on each race for a interest and usually I do a straight Trifecta for $1, which means you have to get the the 1st 2rd and 3rd all in the order. My first Trifecta come in and it paid $202. 90c. That set me up for a day. I only put $1 on the winner in the 2rd race and it won but that was end of my winning streak.
