Misty

Oh what a wonderful day. Mike had a doctors appointment at 7.45am so I had a lift down the hill and walked down to the harbour. It was just getting light and the birds were starting to wake up. The sky had some colour in it but not as fabulous as the other morning. The Firth was so still the buildings reflected nicely.
Mike picked me up and we went to the point to see the sunrise. One seal swam past and then ducked down and was gone. It was warm and quiet with just the sound of the waves lapping. Found a few pieces of pottery and seaglass and some shells that I must remember to take out of my pockets.
The lighting was so good that we decided to go to Inverness. I 've wanted to go to Kilmuir for the last few weeks as the beech trees on the way look wonderful in the Autumn. They did nt disappoint and we even saw a red squirrel.
We parked near the phonebox and walked along the shore road. The mist was drifting across the bridge but we were in bright ,warm sunshine. Some lovely little cottages and I was surprised to see roses and fuchsias still in full bloom. A red admiral was feeding on the ivy, really did nt expect to see one in November.
This boat was on the grass in front of one of the cottages. Just the right name for today in some places.
