Barn at Douthwaitehead

I think this will fit in nicely with Derelict Thursday (hosted by SarumStroller). It's certainly seems disused even if the roof isn't falling in.

Thank you very much for your comments, stars, faves etc on yesterday's sunset. It went into the Spotlight and is still at #4 as I write. I think the group of 10 guests here at LPH had 6 blips in the Spotlight today. Thanks also for your sympathy on my broken lens. You're very kind but it was my own stupid fault, I've been as clumsy as anything since the workshop started.

Today was an unescorted day so most of us headed over to Ullswater, firstly to Douthwaitehead, where there are some quite attractive old barns and then on to Pooley Bridge, where we had a go at the famous Duke of Portland boathouse (which I'll add to Flickr when I get a bit of time) and then on to Martindale and an ascent of Hallin Fell, which might be my first Wainright.

Today's blip is a delightful ol barn with a beautiful tree beside it. I hadn't envisaged it in black and white but JohnGravett did during our feedback session and I thank him for his help with the conversion.

Thanks again for your continuing comments in the lack of replies from me. I assure you I read and enjoy them all and look forward to being able to get back to you after this week.

David
