Shades of Grey

We had a lovely day at RSPB Old Moor today, and even though there were no rarities or surprises we still saw 40 species and enjoyed the day. Pretty cold, but still and quite bright, at least to start.
This Heron was getting a bit exasperated at some cormorants fishing in the same area of the reserve - the ripples on the water were made by them as they swam underwater and bickered amongst themselves.
Tomorrow is a Longshaw fungi survey day, but all my fellow surveyors have cried off, and the weather looks a bit grim, so it might be a short visit.
