Dundee and the Two Bridges

10.8C dull and grey with some light showers. Wind increasing to 31mph at 3pm with gusts to 51mph.

Apothecary7 took one of her remaining annual leave days today and headed off about 10am to make the trip to visit her mum.

I had a phone call before lunch from Eduardo Alessandro Studios in Broughty Ferry to say Apothecary7's painting, which we left with them on the 22nd November, was framed and ready for collection. After lunch Maeve the Deerhound and I went through in the car to collect it. While we were in Broughty Ferry we had a short walk. The wind was blustery out on the piers. I took a few quick shots out on the pier by the harbour. Dundee and the two bridges.

I had noticed one of the downpipes had come loose from the guttering at the front of the house this morning. Not great in the wind ! A local firm sent a man and apprentice round this afternoon and the man reseated the pipe and pushed the rest of the pipe upwards to make it secure while his apprentice held the ladder (very necessary in the wind). Looks like the pipes can drop over time.

Apothecary7 arrived back home just before 4.30pm.
