GAUDETE SUNDAY

Sometimes it’s good to have something to do during a sermon, when you have a deadline and you are a multi-tasking woman who can listen and knit at the same time!!

Good service at church today - I didn’t know that the third Sunday of Advent is Gaudete Sunday - taken from Philippians 4:4,5: "Gaudete in Domino semper" "Rejoice in the Lord always”.

Lots to think about in the next two weeks - so what is the reason for Christmas?

Is it :
Singing carols?
Sending cards?
Christmas trees?
Decorations?
Food?
Chocolate?
Presents?
Or is Jesus REALLY the reason for the season?
