The Bailey

It was a pleasant day. Misty, though, with a bit of a chilly wind. But still pleasant.

Not being a rehab day, there was no routine walk on the day's agenda, but it would have been a shame not to stick the old nose out and at least get some fresh air, so the car was hopped into and taken out to Howth. A shivery walk up around Howth Castle was followed by another one around the harbour, then a short shivery ramble up at the top of the steep winding road past the King Sitric restaurant (reminder to self: must go there some time), and then finally the most serious walk/trek of the lot, down from the Summit car park along the cliffside walk above the Bailey lighthouse. It's ages since I've been around here, and it was really enjoyable. A shame about the mist and the chilly breeze, but it was good to fit in a bonus walk and refresh some old memories of pleasant times spent around here.
