Dust storms in summer

It just feels odd, if I have to wake up in the morning, emerge from a nicely cooled room and then then again switch the air conditioner in the lobby. It just feels odd. But perhaps what's even more so is how profusely one begins to sweat upon the sudden exposure to this heat. Early mornings aren't supposed to be like this. They are the most pristine, quiet and pleasant time of the day. Summers in Delhi however spread over the day like a faceless monster, crushing time. Every moment is as difficult as the other and there isn't much to distinguish them. Then there are these strange dust storms today. Or was it a smog attack, I'm not sure. Visibility was reduced to nothing.

Wanted to take time out to do some math. Found some interesting puzzles. Had to get back to first principles, prove and convince myself of some basics before proceeding. Perhaps not the best approach when results are of sole importance, but a fun approach.

The evening had loads of television. The French Open somehow doesn't seem quite as rivetting this year, so it's all up to "time shift." Ordered Chinese for dinner tonight. Saved us (and by that I mean S) from toiling away in the kitchen. So, not a bad idea at all.
