Cozy and quite

Becca came up to see me for a few days. She recently graduated and has a wide open wonderful summer to relax and adventure before heading off to some far flung place to do Peace Corp service sometime in the fall. She speaks good Spanish and has a joy for beekeeping, so hopefully she'll be working on beekeeping in Latin America somewhere in the near future. I like this idea...she does too.

Today, she's here while I'm busy with class. Come days end though the gang wants to get out of camp. It is karaoke night at one of the local dive bars nearby, the Frontier or Mr. Ed's place....ummm. They gave us so much flak but I had to pass on another night of debauchery for some downtime. Instead, at dusk we paddled out to the mouth of fishtail bay to watch the sunset with a bottle of wine. When we arrived back into shore the cool creep of night had already arrived. Brisk and cool after the front moving in all day. The perfect weather to get the wood stove going.
