Marjorie's ramblings

Pigs

Today I took my mother and my cousin Freda to Cragside, a National Trust property near Rothbury in Northumberland. It was a showery morning and I had not considered that the school holidays might make Cragside an attraction in the rain. The place was heaving with visitors!!!

We were still able to enjoy the story of the house and to marvel at the wonderful inventions of Lord Armstrong. (Hydro electric power, water powered gadgets, first electricity in a domestic residence, etc etc.)

More about Lord Armstrong

The kitchen is full of delights and my eye was caught by this row of eartherware pigs (hot water bottles for the uninitated!)
