View from Birdoswald

I took Freda for a drive along the Military Road from Humshaugh to Greenhead, then to Slack House Farm for elevenses. The scones and jam were divine.

Then we visited Birdoswald. My blip could have been a mother sitting on a stone rather disconsolately while her boys raced around and enjoyed themselves, but I settled for this panorama made from 3 images. I am standing on the edge of the fort and looking across the valley to the south. The hay bales give you the scale. It's a lovely calm pastoral view and I hope you enjoy it.
