Violets

I love them. It is so kind of them to grow for me from a single leaf. So many colors, so many varieties, so beautiful. They ask for so little....water, water and more water. They prefer their water warm. They enjoy some extra nutrition now and then, filtered light, love it when I remove a dying or impaired leaf and they bloom and bloom and bloom. Then they rest awhile...
... and it seems to me they form a committee. They all seem to bloom together and stop together...over and over again, the cycle continues. How simple, how basic in a world of complexity. I love my violets.
