Seaside Property Needs Attention

This afternoon I took the toddler for a drive in the hope she would have nap. This is quite a novelty for us as we never used to be able to use the car with her as she would be horrifically car sick causing us all a great deal of stress.

The plan today was we would pop to the bank then have a drive to the marina and by then she would have fallen asleep.

Well we got to the bank but counting the money to pay in with her was tough as she kept moving it all. Then filling in the paying in slip was a problem as the seats were not within reach of those pens chained to the table, so I had to keep running backwards and forwards between the pens and the toddler with the money.

But we got through it and got our sums correct according to the lady behind the counter. Toddler must have found it very exciting as whilst the cashier was counting the money a strange smell wafted up from her.

So after a quick nappy change in the boot, we got back on the road headed towards the marina.

The plan was simple, on the drive there toddler would fall asleep, I would then park up get a cup of tea and read a magazine till she woke up.
The reality however was that she stayed wide awake all the way there, so we got out and played on the beach bit. We saw some swans and took some pictures.

There was another toddler there who's parents seemed very happy not to watch him as he disappeared out of their sight and threw stones at the swans and started wading out into the water. He then came and sat next to us to throw stones, all was going well until he accidently threw one and it hit my toddler on the head.

After checking her over and fixing her with cuddles we left the crap parents' uncared for child, to play with some old seadog who was leaning on a boat, and went for a walk amongst the old houseboats that are falling apart. I took some photos and toddler played in a boat.

This was clearly all very exciting again as the bank smell was back again. So a quick beach nappy change later we were back in the car and headed off to get our Wednesday cake.

As we got back in the car full of cake to go home she said "I dont get sick anymore" Lets hope so I thought!

I will happilly go through a million excited bank clean ups if this turns out to be true.
