How to calm a hyperactive dog

Picked up my friend Dickie the wonder dog at the start of my walk today. "He's hyper today" said his young owner, and how right she was. He pulled on the lead or raced about wildly when free.

Here I am using a doggy treat to gain his attention, and to be sure he would return when called.

It was very windy and muddy, but mild. Great to be out again and with "someone" who is full of enthusiasm.
