Spring IS coming!

One of the things I was looking forward to this week was seeing snowdrops in bloom on my return from holiday. I've not felt well enough to bother with the camera until today, so, at last, here is my first snowdrop image of the year.

The aconites are out too. When you get up close you realise that most of the blooms have taken some rain damage. This snowdrop was taken hand held at ISO 800. It was only when I desaturated the image to mono that I saw how grainy it was. I've popped the colour back for the one bloom - so delicate, so delightful.
