I love to photograph flowers...orchids are definitely my favorites. They are truly exotic and beautiful looking flowers.

Upon my discovery of these flowers - I had purchased a couple of varieties and had them flown in from Hawaii...they are definitely picky flowers - hard to keep them alive after a bloom. You need the perfect temperature...light...water...etc.

I did get Sharry Baby (Oncidium) to bloom twice - colors of brown and white with firm leathery pedals. The best part - they smell like the perfect combination of chocolate and vanilla! Truly an intoxicating scent!

The picture above was captured right after a misting...at the local conservatory. The brilliant unflawed color reminds me of being pure at heart...simplicity...Rumi's poem seemed fitting. Here are the other pictures..
