Feb 15: I love the outdoors, preferably playing in it, whether running or walking or something more adventurous and I like watching nature change with the seasons as I do. I've undertaken a challenge this year; to qualify to take young people into the hills and I hope to inspire them to appreciate what's all around us from the tiniest of spring flowers to the highest of mountains.
Update Feb 16, after a year blipping: I've had a long time off hillwalking due to a disc bulge and then surgery in Nov'15. I'm just coming back to gentle training now so last year's goal is now this year's goal. Blipping definitely helped me through the difficult period and I'm well and truly addicted.
May 17, I finally feel as though I'm training properly and, bar a little stiffness, my back is good. It's been very long and slow but I'm back in the hills & mountains as often as possible now.
May 2019: I passed my Mountain Leader Assessment in March - an absolutely massive achievement for me. Relieved, ecstatic, pinching myself to check its real!
Feb 2023: I’m still blipping daily but not commenting or following others so much. Life has taken over but my New Year’s resolution is to stop doing so much and have more time for me, family & friends.
