Here is my find today in my lettering and topography quest near the Tidewater Community College | Visual Arts Center | 340 High Street.

This is the view almost across the street from the last building that I posted.
What can be said about the Dollar General Store, except that most neighborhoods have one. This is the business right next to the VAC and some students frequent it daily.

This sans serif typeface is bold, simple and very readable. The yellow and red is attention getting and recognizable from a good distance away ~ which is the goal.
I think the letters are made from wood, but I will have to double check on that. They are slightly protected by the weather from the overhang on the facade.
