Hi, I'm David, I live in a village near the coast in South Devon. I’m primarily a landscape photographer but I’ll photograph all sorts of things when the opportunity’s there. I’m well placed for the coast and Dartmoor so most frequently I’ll be looking for open moors, big vistas, little harbours, boats and crashing waves.
I first heard about blipfoto while attending a workshop at Lakeland Photographic Holidays with JohnGravett who enthusiastically recommended this site. It seemed like a great challenge and up until the two year marker I uploaded an image every day. I’ve now done 7 years and missed just a few. I don’t really feel the need for ‘emergency blips’.
Over 10 years now and I've blipped an awful lot of the places round here by now so it gets more and more difficult to find new images. I find it difficult to reply to comments on my journal and I prefer to comment on other's photographs than spend time saying 'thank you' on mine, although I'm always grateful. I'm interested in photography, so I'm more likely to comment on your journal if your images speak to me.
The other thing in my life is music and I'm usually involved in a band. Currently it's a 13-piece soul band inspired by music from the Alan Parker 'The Commitments' film. I'm often present at local jam nights.
