Almost there

The past two days were devoted entirely to post-holiday recovery, at the expense of Blipfoto, unfortunately. I'm writing this on 3rd July, and I still have lots of sorting and choosing and commentary-writing to do for the second week of the time away and all the days since we got back home.

If Carl hadn't phoned today to suggest meeting for lunch and a bit of reminiscing, I might be a bit better organised (though it's far from fair to blame him for my laziness). Truth is, the holiday was pretty exhausting, and recovery time has proved much longer than usual. It'll certainly be a while before we do another multiple-city holiday -- an all-in package is already on the cards for next year.

All that said, we had a good day today. The weather was good, as suggested by this blip taken at the pavement area of Dunphy's pub in Dún Laoghaire, one of the stops on our pub crawl. We'd lunched in the unfortunate Purty Kitchen, now in receivership and under new management, and had a not-so-great evening meal in Bits and Pizzas when the crawl came to an end. The day ended with The Hangover in Carl's Kino (which didn't live up to all the hype and wouldn't make us rush to see the sequel).
