Look out!

After getting to bed at 4 a.m. I was up at 8. I though I'd hear W H get up and go to Archidex '11 earlier but was wrong and it was nearly midday before she left.

Spoke to sister back in France and spent the day quietly in the apartment talking to #1 son until we both had a siesta. Also watched tv. There is not a great choice - Euronews, re-running the Monaco civil wedding ceremony, Al Jazeera, Bloomberg, a couple of BBC channels - Gordon Ramsay et al, Luxe and the Travel Channel. We seem to have lost National Geographic, oh and Australia Network. All these channels constantly repeat the same items so I was able to see the rest of the Aussie cop drama that I saw the start of last night.

At night it was down to the local Mamak (Indian Muslim) food in Tamen Sri Hartamas (10 pounds for a meal for 3) and then off East across the city centre to the Ampang Look Out for a view NNW across the city, twin towers and KL Tower. It was amazingly busy. Eating out happens everywhere in KL, in fact W H says it can be cheaper to eat out than eat at home, but we'd already eaten.

Fought our way out the car park (reminisicent of Tesco on Christmas Eve or the Braemar Gathering) and then home in the wee small hours (the Twin Towers illumination seemed to be switched off at midnight!).
